Maternal Health
PMTCT services: AGPAHI supports Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) of HIV and Reproductive and Child health (RCH) services to 615 health facilities in the six supported regions.
PMTCT services provided include;
- HIV counselling and testing,
- Provision of ART and
- Early Infant HIV diagnosis.
In the program year October 2017 to September 2018, a total of 409,245 pregnant women were tested for HIV out of 410,767 women who attended ANC.
In addition, 257 health service delivery points were capacitated to provide integrated voluntary family planning services.
Moreover, AGAHI supported training of 265 and 284HCWs on Maternal and Child PMTCT Cohort and Comprehensive PMTCT, respectively.
